Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install and run Traffic Stop Reporting on more then one workstation?

TSR Desktop is a client/server database that is designed and sold to work on a single workstation. If you plan to run TSR-Desktop on more than one workstation, you will be required to pay an additional license and support cost. For example, if your agency has two separate substations, then it would require you to run reports from the workstations at both sites. Best solutions would be to upgrade to the network version of TSR-LAN to access the database from more than one workstation. E-mail sales@trafficstopreporting.com for additional information and ask about TSR-LAN Edition.

Can I run TSR-Desktop on mobile data terminals?

Law Enforcement Software Solutions has a network version of Traffic Stop Reporting that was designed for multiple workstations. E-mail sales@trafficstopreporting.com for additional information and ask about TSR-LAN Edition.

What if the state changes or adds new requirements to traffic reporting?

Support and license fees cover the cost of most software enhancements needed because of changes to state requirements. There may be additional fees if a major enhancement is needed to meet the state requirement or your department requirements.

How would I receive future updates to TSR-Desktop and TSR-LAN?

When there are updates or enhancements, the contact person will receive an e-mail with a unique user name, password, and link to our download site to retrieve the updates. You will be required to be on the workstation that Traffic Stop Reporting installed and have Web access from that workstation. This is done to reduce the operating costs for our customers. If you desire a technician to perform updates on your behalf, your agency will be responsible for travel time and expenses.

What is the system requirement for TSR-Desktop Edition and TSR-LAN Edition?

For TSR-Desktop edition, the workstation should be a600-megahertz Pentium III compatible or faster processor, Windows XP with service pack 2 or later. TSR-LAN is a browser application solution and users need to contact support for specs for the server.
